A milestone achievement for Vanuatu as the leading country in the Pacific with the launching of the Vanuatu Electronic Single Window (VeSW) System on the 24th of March 2020. This is the first of its kind, specifically the Sanitary and Phytosanitary (ASYSPS) module developed by the UNCTAD, ESW Project Team and Biosecurity Team. This sytem will streamline and automate the application, processing, payments and issuance of import permits and export certificates. This is a paperless system which the use of paper is significantly reduced and most printing can be done upon request or documents and receipts can also be sent via emails.
The users of this system are mostly the Customs brokers and Biosecurity encourages applications to be processed through these licensed users. As of the 24th of March 2020, all applications for imports or exports will be processed through this system. Thank you Manager Stanley Trief and your team for the job well done.
